West Coast Account Manager, Food Division – Central Valley California

A world leader in supply chain technology has a great opportunity for a sales person to continue their growth in California.

This important role will sell a suite of technology such as software solutions and temperature monitoring products to food companies who utilize the cold chain for their fresh, perishable, and frozen products.

The position will be based in the Fresno area, but will spend most of the time traveling to customers and prospects throughout California and Arizona. This will be a great fit for sales pros who don’t want to be confined to a desk.  Bilingual (English – Spanish) strong desired.

This Account Manager position provides general oversight and management of the company’s business relationship with key customers in the assigned sales territory.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Sales:
    • Responsible for managing and growing key existing accounts
    • Prospecting for new business opportunities
    • Understand market trends and needs
    • Work with customers to incorporate company products in monitoring their temperature sensitive/perishable products
    • Achieving sales goals
  • Reporting & Analysis
    • Provide required reports and forecasts
    • Assist management in defining the future needs of the customer
    • Create reports as needed
  • ACE:
    • ACE related activities and events

Qualifications and Requirements desired include:

  • Minimum BS/BA degree or equivalent
  • Two years general sales experience required
  • Experience or knowledge of the produce grower/shipper/producer industry a plus
  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to work with deadlines and multiple tasks
  • Bilingual in Spanish highly desired
  • Up to 50%-60% travel required

  • Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards
  • Attend scheduled EH&S training program
  • Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans
  • Recommend improved EH&S practices
