A leading floral company seeks a team player with solid retail account management skills to join their sales team.  This is a great opportunity become a part of an organization that has terrific product, excellent sales service, and a strong growth path.

Position is based in the Santa Barbara / Ventura area of California.

The Account Representative is responsible for maintaining and growing retail and wholesale customers.  Includes:  selling, order entry, customer satisfaction, follow-through, and quality assurance.  This position involves occasional travel to visit customers, give presentations, educational workshops, and trade shows.

The Account Representative will support the Sales Manager on large account customers.  In addition, the account representative will oversee tradeshow preparations including set up, design, and breakdown.

The position reports to the Sales Manager and also interacts directly with the company President, accounting, sales, production, and logistics departments.

In order to successfully execute daily tasks, the Account Representative has the following specific duties:

  • Represents company products to customers and prospect for new business.
  • Direct development and management of current accounts.
  • Further increase and refine sales opportunities.
  • Assisting Sales Manager with select large mass market accounts and other related projects.
  • Maintains inventory and effectively communicates infusing schedule and inventory needs.
  • Review weekly inventory identifying selling goals.
  • Development of marketing plans under the supervision of the sales manager.
  • Occasional travel to trade shows and clients.
  • Enter orders and disseminate sales order information efficiently to the team.
  • Improve, as needed, forms and functions within the department to improve processes and efficiencies.
  • Oversee program for one product line including variety selection, order schedules and quality assurance.
  • Training for and covering other positions in the sales office as needed.
  • Participate in weekend events sponsored by company as well as trade shows when needed.

Additionally, the Account Representative may be called upon to help directly in logistics, quality control and accounting tasks as needed. This position also requires continuing education with the company’s product line and industry trends.
