The company looking for a highly motivated individual to fill a challenging and exciting position in our Field Department, as an Agronomist. This person will be responsible for developing, assessing, and implementing current and new methods of improving quality. They are accountable for arranging soil and petiole sampling, data analysis to help determine best practices, consult growers and conduct special project research and development.
Understand soil and crop chemistry.
Learn varietal analysis.
Effectively communicate research progress and challenges to management.
Aid in the refinement of our analysis methods and stay on top of recent scientific advances in the field.
Oversee and assist with processing soil and plant tissue samplings results.
Produce accurate and high quality material and data for analysis.
Trustworthy individual capable of establishing priorities, working independently, and able to proceed with objectives under minimal supervision.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Demonstrate strong work ethic.
Committed to excellence and takes pride in getting the job done right.
Teamwork oriented, with the ability to work w/ multiple managers and supervisors throughout the growing seasons.
Bachelor of Science degree in Crop or Soil Science; Soil Chemistry; Agronomy or related field.
Background check; drug screen; valid CA driver’s license.
Physically able to occasionally lift 30 lbs. and occasionally walk 2-3 miles per day.
