A well-established food manufacturer is searching for a Customer Service Manager to join their team. The position will be responsible for supervising, coaching and training a team of nine employees who service retail, club and foodservice customers.  Work directly with VP of Sales and Marketing and Regional Sales manager and reports to VP of Club Stores and Alternative Channels.  Manage and oversee national accounts. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with production, procurement and shipping to fulfill orders in a timely manner
  • Supervise, coach and train team of nine employees who service retail, club and foodservice customers
  • Plan, prioritize and delegate work tasks to ensure proper functioning of the department
  • Investigate complex and escalated customer problems and find solutions
  • Forecast sales demand by item, by Ship To on a weekly basis for rolling 52 weeks
  • Review, analyze and communicate demand plan by region including promotional activity, assumptions, and any significant changes on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Ensure the necessary resources and tools are available for quality customer service delivery
  • Maintain A/R at 94% current or above as a team, monitoring each CSR stays on task
  • Identify and implement strategies to improve efficiencies within department
  • Coordinate and manage customer service projects and initiatives with CSM East and CS Technical Manager
  • Work with Timeline group to bring new products to market through planning and coordinating resources
  • Manage national accounts, including Bill Back program and deductions
  • On-Call for production and shipping related issues
  • Review performance of team on bi-annual basis
  • Attend cross-functional team meetings as requested

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to type 60 WPM and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • 2 years of management experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in produce industry helpful
  • College Degree preferred
  • English, Spanish beneficial but not necessary.
  • Good written and oral communication required.
