Dealer Relationship Manager – Southeast

This position is responsible for achieving sales targets, managing the customer account, generating product demand, and providing technical sales support and product training for our distributors and end users. This role will serve as the direct liaison with the distributors in the assigned geographical area. In order to fully grow our business, this position requires a combination of agronomic and technical skills in addition to a high proficiency of sales and people skills. Significant focus will be on equipping/training, supporting, and strategizing with our distributor and dealer network product specialists, account managers, and salesmen/crop advisors. This position will build strong relationships and leverage all available assets to meet customer needs and grow our business. This position will serve as our ambassador and should have a great degree of integrity. This position will report directly to the Country Manager with a dotted line to the Senior Technical Sales Manager for the area.
Working relationship with distributor and dealer network in this territory, preferred seven years of experience selling agricultural inputs.
Able to establish excellent professional relationships with customers, stakeholders, and leaders including PCAs throughout the ag industry
Account management experience
Outstanding communication skills -effective verbal and written communicator of detailed product information and technical concepts to our customers, distributor/dealer accounts, agronomists, researchers, growers, etc. in a range of environments that include everything from large group presentations to one-on-one meetings
Well-organized and a self-motivated individual that works well alone and with a team
Exhibit a positive attitude and possess an outstanding work ethic
Ability to plan & organize activities, multi-task, and follow-through to accomplish goals
Able to quickly learn scientific concepts and become an expert on our portfolio of products
Excellent presentation skills are a must – both the ability to create presentations and present to customers and growers in both small and large groups
Organizes field trial demos, field days, promotional activities, trade show, and other marketing activities
Meets or exceeds goals and objectives within budget
Willingness to assume other duties as assigned – flexibility & ability to handle change are imperative
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree Required / Master’s Degree preferred in Agriculture or ag related field
This is a mid-career opportunity with competitive compensation commensurate with experience for the right candidate
Established relationships with distributors and dealers in the assigned territory
Possess detailed knowledge of common agronomic crops and production practices common to the region in the Ag Market Focus is on the high value markets including but not limited to grapes, strawberries, vegetables, rice, and trees.
PCA License preferred
Possess a positive attitude and outstanding work ethic
Proficient with computers and basic programs – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
A farm background and/or experience at the retail/wholesale dealer/distributor level is preferred
Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% of the time (located near a major airport a plus)
This position will work from their home.
