A strong, growing food manufacturer is seeking a Human Resources Manager who will develop a strong understanding of the industry, the company, culture, and competition.                                                                                                     

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for developing effective relationships with key business leaders by providing strategic, integrated advice and direction on business issues with HR implications.

Act as coach to people managers.  Provide counsel and assist employees and people managers in resolving complex Human Resources problems.

Support management through a variety of HR related focus areas:  training and development, employee onboarding, succession planning, performance management, etc.

Oversee strategic workforce planning by tracking and monitoring trends in attrition, headcount, and succession plans and providing recommendations and solutions for gaps

Analyze data and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement and positive growth.

Partner with management to explain, interpret, implement, communicate and monitor various HR policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.

Demonstrate active leadership during organizational change efforts

Assist in implementation and communication of corporate and individual site activities.

Assist in keeping positive culture throughout the company.

Identify and lead continuous improvement projects.

Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.

Manage 2 other HR employees at different locations and the Safety Manager

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required.

Minimum of 5+ years of Human Resources experience with an emphasis on employee relations.

Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational design, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws.

Relevant industry experience a plus.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills is strongly preferred

Excellent employee management and business literacy skills

Strong conflict management skills

Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results, with a wide variety of employees from field environment to corporate setting.

Ability to understand issues and communicate effectively with internal customers.

Flexibility and ability to interact with employees at all levels.
