An industry leading agriculture company is seeking a Labor Relations Assistant Manager that will be responsible for developing and implementing labor related policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance while eliminating labor liabilities.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Investigate and evaluate team member complaints or arguments to determine viability.
  • Monitor Company compliance and workforce adherence to labor guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings related to labor relations or labor disputes/complaints.
  • Conducts regular and consistent training to Directors, Managers and Team leaders.
  • Maintains records and documentation necessary to comply with and support the Labor program.
  • Advise management on matters related to the administration of personal, team member discipline and complaint processing procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Company management.
  • Mediate discussions between employer and team member representatives in attempt to reconcile differences.
  • Prepare and submit required governmental reports or forms related to labor relations matters, such as equal employment opportunity (EEO) forms, new hire forms, or minority compensation reports.
  • Develop and implement bi-annual team member satisfaction survey for all sites
  • Prepare reports or presentations to communicate team member satisfaction or related data to management.
  • Review and approve team member disciplinary actions, such as written reprimands, suspensions, or terminations.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have 2-3 years Human Resources experience, labor relations preferred
  • Must have strong managerial skills, strong communication skills, experienced in all aspects of Human Resources Management
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish and English- REQUIRED
  • Possess strong computer skills, including Excel, Power Point, Outlook;
  • Must have a sense of urgency, strong organizational skills,
  • Good attention to detail, and open to change.
  • Other skills but not limited to; safety management.
  • Continuously walk around farm exposed to exterior weather conditions as well as cool rooms.
