Manage the company overall activity related to customer quality complaints and be the liaison between production and QA
Manage and improve upon the customer complaint tracking, response, and assist with implementing corrective and preventive actions in the process or raw material sourcing
Use customer quality feedback (i.e., complaints) to help drive quality improvement across the company
Visit Midwest and some Southeast regional restaurants to educate and interact with franchisees/owners/mangers and represent quality for company products.
Regularly attend cuttings at corporate headquarters for restaurant chain customers, and be the advocate for company Quality.
Oversee company Specifications development, maintenance, revision, and assure production processes achieve specification compliance; work with sales, customers, plant operations and quality to create specs
Manage product sample generation and shipping process, working with sales, customers, and production.
Manage and coach at least 1 direct report
B.S. in Food Science, Food Technology, Horticulture, Agricultural Sciences or related field
Advanced Degree Preferred (i.e., M.S. or MBA)
At least 5 years’ experience; at least 2 years’ experience in produce required
Ability to travel regionally and nationally at least 50%
