A fully integrated growing, packing and shipping organization seeks an Organic Sales Manager to lead the sales functions and growth in the organic product category. This company is uniquely situated to offer a consistent, extensive selection of deciduous, stone fruit, and other fruit commodities to a diverse domestic and international customer base.
Position is located in Central Washington, and will require candidate to work out of the company’s main office.
Position Responsibilities Include
Represent the company in both domestic and export markets with all Organic items.
Provide customer service management to all customer channels.
Increase revenue from existing accounts and drive incremental business with new customers.
Achieve sales growth through the retail channel: set ad lids, develop seasonal contracts and promotions.
Negotiate long and short-term pricing strategies that meet or exceed sales targets to achieve category growth.
Develop category goals based on sales targets, competitive environment, and seasonal supply and demand.
Track and analyze customer sales history and purchasing trends.
Occasional regional and national travel to conventions, shows, and customer locations as needed.
Desired Experience & Qualifications Include
Minimum of Ten (10) years of Organic Sales Experience.
Documented track record of business development in organic fruit with retail stores and other channels.
Strong fresh produce background. Organic produce category experience highly desired.
Established customer base and large number of industry contact required.
College degree (B.A/B.S.) in related field of study desired, or relevant experience in the produce industry. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Strong computer, communication, problem solving skills a must.
