Northwest Plant Manager – Washington

Strong and growing produce company is seeking a Plant Manager for their operations in Washington. This position will responsible for the efficient management and profitable execution of all business operations at the facility with a priority on simultaneously achieving high levels of customer, vendor and employee satisfaction.  Financial goals and objectives will be met through:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, organization and direction to all plant operation activities
  • Grow and maintain positive customer and community relation
  • Managing all shipping and receiving operations, including inbound and outbound shipments of vegetables and finished product.
  • Planning packaging activities in coordination with Sales, site Farm Manager(s) and Storage Manager(s), including scheduling of planting plans, storage plans and shipping activities
  • Oversee packaging management and shipping activities to deliver excellent customer service and quality
  • Support innovation in quality, packaging and food safety practices
  • Proactively seek and engage resources with the aim of top decile performance in terms of orders met and quality
  • Facilitate and maintain strong communication between sales and operations

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated strong work-ethic, outstanding leadership ability and exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor degree preferred in Ag related studies
  • 5+ years’ experience managing produce packing operations
  • Self-directed individual who leads projects to identify and implement solutions with team input
  • Working knowledge and experience with maintenance programs, equipment repair and operating packaging equipment
  • Demonstrated financial management experience and budgeting skills
  • Strong leadership, team building and management skills
  • Proficient in the use of Windows based computer programs (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and a general aptitude with software systems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to train and motivate

Compensation:

Competitive base salary plus bonus and benefits based on experience
