Post-Harvest Operations Manager – Northern California

A successful, industry leading agriculture company is seeking a Post-Harvest Operations Manager to join their team based in Northern California. This position will oversee and manage post-harvest operations on a day-to-day basis ensuring the implementation of production plans while meeting and/or exceeding production and quality standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: include the following and other duties may be assigned as needed.
In coordination with Sales Harvest Operations Director, develop and implement the post-harvest operation/production schedules.
Define and communicate in advance the headcount weekly requirements.
Train and coach managers and team leaders.
Plan and execute day-to-day post-harvest activities.
Develop, define and implement post-harvest Key Performance indicators.
Lead daily meetings with post-harvest Managers and Team leaders.
Tour the production areas under his/her responsibility and provide feedback to Managers and Team leaders.
Ensure all post-harvest areas are fully in compliance with Rain-Forest requirements as well as Safety codes and programs as well as to CAOSHA..
Ensure implementation of all associated/related procedures for facility.
Coordinate with CIP department to ensure all team members are properly trained in corresponding Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
Make recommendations to COO, CFO and CEO to improve efficiency, productivity, quality and cost reductions initiatives.
Review overall performance on a daily basis and develop/implement corrective action plans to ensure goals achievement.
Provide daily feedback to Managers and Team leaders.
Attend daily operations meeting.
Adjust production plans in accordance with picking volumes.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to travel to multi-sight locations by air travel and vehicle as much as once per month.
At least 5 years of experience in managing warehouse and/or packing operations.
Degree preferred but not required.
Bilingual English-Spanish preferred but not required.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory controls.
Strong Leadership and communication skills
Computer programs literature ( Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Proven ability to make presentations and spreadsheets.
