Strong, growing produce company seeking Sales/Business Development professional to join their team and assist with retail and foodservice sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for sales and service of assigned customer base, customer retention & growth of existing customers, and new customer development.
  • Sales planning and forecasting
  • Investigate and qualify potential customers
  • Assist in receivables
  • Attends industry and customer specific trade shows and events.
  • Participates in inventory management and sales of aging and distressed product.
  • Conduct reviews with customers
  • Implement programs, contract sales and FOB sales where best suited

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred
  • 5 – 7 years produce sales experience selling to retail, foodservice and wholesalers
  • FOB sales, program sales and business development experience
  • Excellent leadership and initiative skills
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and strong customer service skills for building solid relationships
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
