Growing produce company seeking independent and successful produce salesperson.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for sales and service of assigned customer base, customer retention & growth of existing customers, and new customer development – Industrial, Retail and Foodservice accounts
  • contract sales and sales account management
  • Manage customer service team
  • Align weekly sales plan with company placement strategy
  • Maintain constant communication with customers to keep them informed on product availability, quality and price.
  • Investigate and qualify potential new customers in alignment with annual sales plan.
  • prospect target customers, listen to their needs and effectively communicate capabilities. Establish dialog and maintain communication.
  • Provide customer related insights and data to relevant teams and staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred
  • 5 – 7 years produce sales experience
  • Contract sales and business development experience
  • Strong retail contacts in retail, industrial and foodservice
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and strong customer service skills for building solid relationships

Compensation:

Competitive base salary plus discretionary bonus depending on experience.
