Growing produce company seeking independent and successful produce salesperson.
- Responsible for sales and service of assigned customer base, customer retention & growth of existing customers, and new customer development – Industrial, Retail and Foodservice accounts
- contract sales and sales account management
- Manage customer service team
- Align weekly sales plan with company placement strategy
- Maintain constant communication with customers to keep them informed on product availability, quality and price.
- Investigate and qualify potential new customers in alignment with annual sales plan.
- prospect target customers, listen to their needs and effectively communicate capabilities. Establish dialog and maintain communication.
- Provide customer related insights and data to relevant teams and staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred
- 5 – 7 years produce sales experience
- Contract sales and business development experience
- Strong retail contacts in retail, industrial and foodservice
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and strong customer service skills for building solid relationships
Competitive base salary plus discretionary bonus depending on experience.
