Produce Sales Broker – Florida

A reputable produce distributor with established grower relationships in Mexico is searching for a Produce Sales/Broker with vegetable commodity experience to join their team. The Produce Sales/Broker will successfully direct the sales of the company. Ensures that all sales areas achieve sales and profit objectives. Successfully communicates with Operations, Purchasing, Accounting and Administration to meet overall Company objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish relationships with new customers and secure contracts with new customers that achieve assigned sales quotas and targets.
Prospect for potential retail and foodservice customers using various direct methods such as calling and face to face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking
Meet and exceed established number of sales phone calls, in person meetings and engagements as prescribed by Sales Management.
Qualify prospects against company criteria for ideal customers and sales
Maintain a high level of relevant knowledge in order to have meaningful conversations with prospects.
Report to Sales Manager daily, with reports completed as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in Produce Sales/Broker.
Experience with vegetable commodities.
