We are currently searching for a Ranch Manger that has either citrus or stone fruit experience. This role would also come with a ranch home and a company truck. This Ranch Manager role would be responsible for monitoring daily farm operations and the ideal candidate will be highly motivated, have good organization skills and maintain a positive work environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: –
Responsible for ground preparation, planting, irrigating, fertilizing, spraying, cultivating and harvesting operations.
Managing and leading a staff of both regular and temporary employees.
Attend ranch meetings weekly and report on progress once a week.
Participate in the budget creation and manage location expenses.
Procuring crop inputs, including those of production and protection, and controlling the inventory.
Manage location records, including those on equipment maintenance and field records.
Provide training to staff in the areas of safety, food safety, and general work requirements.
CPR/First Aid certificate
Pesticide Permit signee for ranch permit
Certificate of Training for Recycled Water Programs
Coordinating VCAILG Waiver program for ranch/ through Farm Bureau 289 0155
Attending GMA and OPV Water meetings
Attending Index and Cooperative Extension Meetings
Ranch Coordinator for Asian Citrus Psyllid Quarantine Program/ State Program
Production agriculture and management experience is required.
