Vice President of Sales – Texas

We are representing an up and coming company that is growth mode. They are searching for a VP of Sales to join their team. This position will be responsible for establishing the sales targets to meet the company objectives as well as developing strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization.
Creates and executes the sales department go-to-market (GTM) and operational strategies including building out annual revenue goals to achieve business objectives
Determines and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue vs. plan, contact rate, quote closure rate and gross profit percentage
Monitors internal shipment plus 3rd party retailer sales through data to anticipate and react quickly to trends and changes in performance
Develops, coaches, and retain an effective team with hands-on approach with daily interaction the ability to fulfill the growth and revenue goals
Promotes and maintains positive relations with clients, partners, vendors and distributors
Puts the infrastructure, processes, and systems in place to support a fast growth business
Works closely with marketing, operations, and finance to create partner programs generally and for all sales channels
Ability to challenge the status quo of “how things work” in the food industry to knock down barriers to grow the business faster than any food brand ever ha thorough knowledge and experience in selling natural food, especially organic read-to-eat products, to national accounts and ability to develop strategies to support growth initiatives
Ability to develop account penetration strategy to “seal the deal” as well as build relationships and advocacy with senior roles inside
Ability to demonstrate excellent and compelling presentation and negotiating skills
Ability to provide strong leadership, communication, interpersonal skills and ability to use data analytics to influence decisions.
Ability to travel frequently to participate in sales presentations, negotiations, trade shows, and meetings
Ability to lead, train, guide and coach direct reports and work effectively with other teams
