A well-established and innovative industry leading grower/packer/shipper is seeking a VP/Director of Marketing.
This position is responsible for the management and implementation of company’s marketing and advertising initiatives including but not limited to the analysis, planning, development, branding, and execution of marketing strategies.
The primary responsibility is to generate revenue by increasing sales through successful marketing for the entire organization, using market research, product marketing, content marketing, marketing communications, social media advertising and public relations.
This position ensures the organization’s message is distributed to target audience across all applicable channels in order to meet/ exceed sales objectives.

Build, coordinate and execute the Strategic Marketing Business Plan to ensure maximum success in the marketplace.
Supervision of tactical execution of the Marketing Communications team and/or external agencies.
Establish the positioning, content, print, social media and P/R strategy as part of the Marketing Communications Business Plan.
Analyze market trends, market share, and derive insights and action plans to support strategic marketing plans.
Campaign effectiveness measurement and analysis.
Prepare and manage marketing plans and budgets.
Work closely with senior management team and sales team to determine needs of company for all marketing activities.
Managing the co-coordination of marketing campaigns with sales activities, including but not limited to trade shows, packaging materials, sponsorships, etc.
Administrate the creation and publishing of relevant, original, and innovative high-quality content.
Promote content through social advertising.
Create presentations, articles, reports, and information for web sites, blogs, social media accounts, and sales department.
Preferred experience creative writing and creative design.
Manage the overall corporate brand to align it with the company vision and direction.
Manage the brand development & positioning overall and within target segments.
Manage and oversee the message mapping to ensure effective execution internally and externally.
Establish and ensure the brand image and message is consistent through all media.
Design, create and manage promotions and social ad campaigns.
Development of brand awareness and online reputation.
SEO (search engine optimization) and generation of inbound traffic.
Monitor, listen and respond to users in a “Social” way while cultivating leads and sales.
Conduct online advocacy and open a stream for cross-promotions.
Manage efforts in building online reviews and reputation.
Develop public relations strategies for company and current and existing products, launches, and promotions.
Supervise, mentor, and delegate responsibilities to other team members and agency.
Manage content to create and publish relevant, original, compelling social media updates and highlight products or promotions.
Develop and produce high-quality, informative, and interesting press releases, press kits, and related materials as needed.
Organize promotional events such as trade shows and other industry focused events as needed.
Develop relationships with industry leaders through social media.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field required, MBA preferred.
7-10+ years of managing successful marketing campaigns in specialty agriculture/consumer packaged goods sales/ marketing/ retail grocery industry strongly preferred.
In depth knowledge of retail operations and experience with retail performance analysis.
Working knowledge of Microsoft office, JAVA, and Adobe programs.
Previous team management/leadership experience desired.
