Warehouse Operations Manager – Texas

We are representing a well-established distribution/logistics company based in TX that is searching for a Warehouse Operations Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be an innovative and effective leader and an excellent communicator with a solid history of success at leading organizations to record-setting performance. This candidate will also have the proven ability to analyze the organizations operation and growth opportunities and be able to introduce strategic and tactical solutions that improve competitive performance for improved bottom-line profitability.
Job Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
Ability to understand and oversee all warehouse jobs including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, palletizing, shipping and receiving
Manage all aspects of the people, process and service-related objectives as we strive to continually improve operational performance
Provide stable and effective leadership, direction, and supervision for all direct reports to ensure day-to-day activities of the warehouse are completed
Interface with customers and vendors to ensure top-notch service is maintained for all warehousing and logistics activities
Understand financial statements and cost structures.
Review current operations and utilize best practices to implement operating strategies, business plans and performance objectives to successfully achieve results
Monitor inventory accuracy, on time delivery performance, and other customer KPIs
Ability to motivate self and others to accomplish goals and objectives despite a complex environment while creating a sense of urgency and delegating appropriately
Promote and ensure a culture of safety and compliance in all facets of warehouse operations by reinforcing safety policies and procedures
Leads and participates in LEAN efforts throughout the warehouse operations
Responsible for the physical custody and overall safeguarding of customer product
Responsible for the compliance of the warehouse certifications (Food Safety GFSI, Organic, FDA, USDA, CBP, TSA)
Qualifications and Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Operations Management, preferred
3-5 years’ experience in Logistics or 3PL Warehouse Management
Strong experience using a WMS system is required
Proven time management and multiple task management competency
Strong analytical skills and proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Intermediate/Advanced Excel capabilities
Effective communication, listening and presentation skills
