Western Regional Sales Manager – West Coast – Remote Based

A well-established grower/shipper is searching for a Western Regional Sales Manager to join their team. The Western Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for a plan that maximizes the opportunity for sales and profit with each customer. Build and expand existing company branded business while developing new business opportunities. Plan, direct and implement sales strategies for existing and potential clients based on company business plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for annual sales plan and budget, new business targets and strategy, analysis of customer and commodity profitability, product development, high level customer relationships and contracts, guidance of inside and outside retail sales teams, trends in retail sales markets and channels, competitive position, brand strategy and company image.
Develop a long-range sales strategy and annual plan which includes a forecast of potential business, strategy to go after that business and resources needed to capture that channel in support of organizational strategy and objectives.
Maximize the sales of existing customers with the full product line.
Establish new business relationships for full product line.
Plan, direct and implement account business plans to expand development of existing and new business customers.
Contract evaluation and negotiation.
Ensure the collection of accounts receivable is within acceptable time frames.
Extensive travel, to generate new business and to support existing business.
Control expenses and operate within budget parameters; responsibilities include the bottom line profitability of the company.
Interface with business management, marketing, and operations to support marketing and sales opportunities as well as determine client and vendor needs and assist in the direction for the marketing plans to enhance the achievement of overall sales efforts.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or five or more years related experience.
Manages multiple channel selling strategies.
Develop in-depth understanding of the marketplace

Manage an effective sales and opportunities pipeline
Inform, educate and influence client decisions
Differentiate and bundle value proposition
Develop and execute strategic account plans
