Growing, brand recognized company seeking a sales representative to call on Growers in the Central Coast Region
The Account Manager is responsible for managing relationships with assigned and prospective customers (grower/shipper/packers) on a regular basis to develop, generate and expand sales and revenue.
Manage all daily sales activities with assigned customers through regular contact and field visits
Get to know your customers business, understand their needs in order to ensure that you are providing them will all services available by company
Prospect, generate and qualify new customers cost effectively
Seek out new market opportunities
Research and analyze potential customer needs and sell to those needs
Present the Company sales story to all qualified prospects
Seek out decision makers at all levels
Provide weekly demand forecast for assigned accounts and assist Field Service Representatives with their forecast
College Degree (Bachelors) and a minimum of 5 years related experience in customer sales or customer service industry or Minimum of ten years related experience in sales or customer service preferably in the fresh produce industry.
Sales experience directly with grower/shipper/packers preferred
Must be knowledgeable and proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Excellent analytical and language skills
Consistently maintain an effective high closing ratio in sales
Can travel a minimum of 50 per cent of the working week in order to meet with and work with assigned customers
Must be geographically located to assigned customers
