Branded Valued Added Produce Sales Manager – Home Based

Terrific fresh food company with a growing product line seeks a sales expert to handle account management, account development, and new business development. This organization has a solid customer base, investment in production, and a strong opportunity for growth in the retail, mass market, club, and foodservice channels.
Position is home / remote based with travel to trade shows and customer visits (when allowable). Some international travel may be an option.
Develop business with new accounts, grow current accounts, maintain strong relationships, and deliver a high level of service.
Accurately forecast monthly and quarterly sales activity and trends.
Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity and provide feedback.
Develop and maintain relationships and sales with food brokers.
Execute short and long-term sales goals, along with sales strategies, by aligning with overall company goals.
Represent and be a face of the company during customer visits, trade shows, industry functions.
Educate customers on production quality, food safety, quality assurance procedures.
Prove commitment to overall team and company success with a willingness to assist with duties outside of scope as needed.
10+ years of experience selling and growing sales of branded fresh produce, fresh produce items, or related perishable food products.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, relevant experience.
Relationships with chains in the retail, mass market, multi-unit, or similar foodservice channels.
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing a sales strategy as well as getting results through new customer acquisition.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Skilled negotiation skills and problem solver.
Entrepreneurial spirit and business mind, pay attention to details.
