This position will work closely with operations management team providing the financial tools and reporting to improve productivity and profitability while ensuring compliance and governance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial statement preparation, journal entries and account reconciliations by ensuring timely, accurate and complete financial records and reporting in accordance with legal requirements, and the Company’s corporate policies.
Serve as business partner to operations
Perform analytical review of financial statements indicating reasons for variations from budget and year to date trends
Analyze data and prepare performance dashboards/metrics including labor productivity, input/output costs, overhead, inventory, distribution cost returns and investment analysis.
Assist in preparation of annual budgeting process and audits.
Perform special projects, system enhancements or any ad hoc projects as directed by management.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting strongly preferred.
Minimum 5-10 years accounting experience in operations, production, manufacturing or Ag experience.
Comprehensive understanding of financial accounting & cost accounting, depreciation, forecasting, and audit preparation.
Experience with ERP
Managerial abilities and effective communication skills.
Analytical abilities, good planning and organization skills.
