Maintenance Manager – California

Strong, growing food processor is seeking Maintenance Manager for their growing operation.
Job Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee, manage and direct all maintenance procedures and operations
Ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates, which includes building and managing a robust PM schedule
Schedule, train, supervise and motivate employees for the maintenance department
Coordinate work performed by outside vendors
Create and adhere to maintenance budgets
Enforce all health and safety rules and regulations according to state/federal laws and company protocol
Use data analysis to help prepare for and prevent future problems
Meet with vendors and suppliers to learn about and evaluate products used in repair work.
Perform skilled repair and maintenance operations, using equipment such as hand and power tools, hydraulic presses and shears, and welding equipment.
Supervise production equipment maintenance program including evaluation of predictive maintenance data, scheduling and conducting preventative maintenance activities.
Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, or duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
Participate in plans to improve productivity, cost reduction and energy conservation and development.
Assist in annual budgets and capital project planning.
Develop positive partnerships with other operational functions (i.e. production or human resources) and suppliers to ensure human capital, equipment, production and sanitation processes are used in the most effective/efficient manner to meet or exceed manufacturing targets.
5 or more years of experience in Food Manufacturing Maintenance Management
Experience leading small teams.
Computer proficiency in software applications required for analyzing, monitoring, and reporting. (Microsoft, SAP)
Ability to use AutoCad, Inventor or other related software, including the ability to read blueprints and interpret P&ID diagrams.
Experience in direct supervision of maintenance employees
Experience with a continuous process discipline such as Six Sigma/Lean/TQM manufacturing environment.
Solid interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
Bilingual in Spanish Strongly Preferred
Solid negotiation skills when dealing with contracts and purchase agreements.
Experience with an ERP/SAP system.
Experience with PLC’s, process controls, sensors, and extensive knowledge of mechanical systems such as conveyors, packaging systems and automated equipment.
