Established and growing produce company seeking National and Regional Sales to join their team. Seeking someone with proven produce sales strategy, execution with key retail customers.
- Identifies and understands customer needs and owns the communication between the customer and the internal team
- Planning, staffing, budgeting and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to resolve issues effectively in a professional manner
- Develops and guides the implementation of account specific growth and innovation plans that achieve profitability and sales targets.
- This individual will serve as the primary account contact on both new and existing categories.
- Responsible for promotional planning, communication of supply related issues
- Work collaboratively with all internal cross functional teams.
- Identify and communicate competitive activities, market trends and major industry initiatives.
- Produce value added experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5-10 years’ produce sales experience managing business within region or large national customers
- Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP and SOPs.
- Experience with Microsoft office, Word, Excel and familiar with Produce Pro is a plus
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain business relationships with executive level decision makers and internal resources at all levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication in one-on-one and group settings
- Demonstrate excellence in the areas of time management, communications, decision making, negotiations and project management skills
