Produce Sales/Account Manager – Midwest

Strong, growing produce company seeking Sales/Account Manger to manager retail accounts. Ideal candidate will have produce commodity sales experience with retail customers
Develop and execute programs that maximize net revenue opportunities while growing customer penetration.
Understand current market conditions and trends and their effect on retailers.
Maintain strong relationships with decision makers and influencers in assigned accounts and develop, implement and manage strategic business, marketing, sales, and promotional plans related to targeted customers.
Develop and provide category management at the decision maker level that drives sales.
Develop effective and relevant planograms and assist management with coordination and implementation of planograms.
Understand and advise store on improving margin, inventory, distribution and shrink.
Grow and respond to assigned customer challenges by communicating with colleagues in customer service, operations, and transportation regarding changes.
BA or BS required
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Account management/produce sales
Attention to detail
Motivated and self-driven with strong written and oral communication skills
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
Experience negotiating at the decision maker level.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Email.
Ability to thrive under tight deadlines and challenging goals
