Great opportunity for an experienced produce industry expert! An innovative industry supplier seeks a Senior Vice President of Sales & Business Development to join their growing team.
- Responsible for leading team to promote market integration & sales of company’s technologies to the agricultural food industry.
- Business development for new accounts with a focus on the produce industry (growers, packers, fresh-cut processors, retailers, food processors).
- Prospecting and sourcing new customer leads and keeping current with changes in the Produce Industry in order to best capitalize on new opportunities.
- Develop a marketing and sales plan to implement business development strategies.
- Responsible for project management and budgeting
Desired Attributes and Experience
- 10+ years previous successful senior leadership experience in the fresh produce, agricultural or related industry sectors
- Strong experience/relationships working with domestic retail customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, highly organized, detail oriented, accurate
- Ability to work effectively in an entrepreneurial, collaborative environment with a small company mindset.
- Self-motivation and self-discipline to generate new business and demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and related experience
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required
