As our Talent/HR Manager, you will be the first point of contact for day to day inquiries from employees and managers at our US locations. Working with the Director of Talent, you will develop policies, champion HR programs and lead talent related initiatives. In this hands-on individual contributor role you will work closely with managers to drive the engagement and productivity of our teams.

What you will do


  • Partner with leaders to understand staffing needs and future workforce requirements
  • Lead candidate sourcing and initiatives like career fairs to develop a robust pipeline of talent
  • Perform full cycle recruitment activities for high volume seasonal employee hiring including: posting job opportunities, reviewing and shortlisting applications, arranging and conducting phone screens and interviews, performing reference checks, and issuing employment offers
  • Support the employee onboarding and orientation process by contributing content, managing all new hire paperwork and presenting on various topics
  • Manage the process and interactions in a way that develops a positive employer brand and candidate experience


  • Act as the main point of contact for employees and managers on day to day HR questions
  • Advise employees about policies, benefit programs and workplace issues
  • Provide guidance/support to supervisors and managers on policies, performance improvement, attendance and disability issues, discipline, terminations, compensation, employee development and other matters
  • Lead internal investigations as needed to ensure issues are handled professionally, thoroughly and confidentially
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements in various jurisdictions


  • Identify, develop and implement strategies to support the growth and effectiveness of the team
  • Conduct research into HR best practices and create recommendations
  • Collect data from employee surveys, exit interviews, and focus groups to gather input and identify priorities
  • Periodically review and develop employee policies to ensure they are clearly communicated and we are in compliance



We want you to succeed, so you will need:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years of HR generalist experience, and 2 years of significant recruitment activity.
  • A degree, diploma or certificate in Business, Human Resources Management or related field. An equivalent combination of experience and training will be considered.
  • Experience in the Agriculture industry
  • Ability to build strong relationships across the organization and influence the adoption of HR programs and tools
  • Effective verbal and written communication in one-on-one or group settings
  • Comfort in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
  • Proficiency with MS office/GSuite tools and applicant tracking systems
  • Adept at addressing sensitive and confidential HR issues with tact and discretion
  • Knowledge of and experience in applying state and federal employment laws and standards
  • Excellent judgment, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time, primarily within Washington and California

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in a technology company
  • SHRM designation
  • Familiarity/experience with health and safety requirements & programs
  • Experience with high volume recruitment of hourly staff
  • Proficiency in Spanish
